Members are kindly reminded of the FarmWise Board Game, developed by former NAU president Piet Gouws, to help farm workers and children learn to take responsibility on the farm, see it as a business and become part of its success. The game, which can be played by both workers and employers, promotes financial literacy for the successful management of a farm and also teaches sound farming principles. “For each action there is a reaction,” says Piet Gouws, “sometimes favourable and sometimes not. The board game teaches consequences in a fun, engaging way."
The game is available from Sam’s Hobbies and Toys stores at a price of N$895. By purchasing this game, you invest in the future of a Namibian farm child, as 40% of the proceeds from the board game are contributed to a NAU study fund.
