Nationwide Drought Relief Program (2024/25)

On 22 May 2024, the President of the Republic of Namibia, His Excellency Dr. Nangolo Mbumba declared a National State of Emergency on account of the current and ongoing drought. To alleviate the hardships caused by the drought, the Government of the Republic of Namibia is implementing a nationwide drought relief intervention to assist the drought stricken communities.

Therefore the Office of the Prime Minister released a Nationwide Drought Relief Program in line with the Disaster Risk Management Plan for the 2024/2025 season.
